A Database in its strict meaning is a set of data to be managed by a database_management_system [DBMS]. A more generalized understanding uses both the data set and the DBMS as well as their combination, as the synonym database or better Database Access.
This is what I would do when thinking of Databases in conjunction with LabVIEW.
